DETAILS:
The Extended Clamp Arm fits the BeadBuster XB-450i (and old XB-451, 452 & 454 PRO models). It can be installed on these small frame (45x series) tools to be effectively used with certain automotive wheels which have curved or angled clamping surfaces that make the standard, shorter, clamp arm difficult to use. The long clamp arm will project about 3″ below the feet of the 45X tools, and contact the rim further down where the clamping surface is more parallel to the tool axis. (See Illustration)
*NOTE* this has been proven to be an effective solution for these difficult rim shapes, but extra care must be taken when clamping because the clamp force will tend to rock the tool backwards, away from the rim, possibly causing the ram foot to miss the bead bundle. The tool still needs to be aligned perpendicular to the face of the rim to properly break the bead; additional care and manual pressure may be required to ensure alignment.
Used on a 2009 FEH Limited with stock rims. The standard/short arm was definitely not long enough to work correctly. This longer arm worked great, but still either wasn't long enough or the black pad is in the wrong place. It contacted my rim between the black pads and scratched the paint off of the arm. I had to place a towel between it and the rim to protect both the tool and the rim from damage. The paint also chipped off the tip of the foot that goes between the tire and the rim. Other than minor paint damage to the tool, it worked great. (Yes, I made sure I was using it 100% correctly and was not in a rush like some YouTubers demonstrate where they're going all at it as if they're working on a NASCAR pit crew.)

They worked on my low profile 255/35R20 tires but it took a few passes around the tire. Unfortunately, I wanted to change my TPMS sensors without having to remove the tires but the stroke wasn't long enough give me access to them. I was surprised they worked on these tires but disappointed I couldn't change my TPMS sensors. I'll definitely use it again when I change standard or AT tires for our other cars.

Great extension to the Bead Buster and an absolute necessity if you're working on autos. I don't think I would have been able to complete the job on OEM Subaru rims without it. The included arm is probably perfect for tractors and ATV type rims, but it's a little short for autos. It would be great if you could select the arm you would prefer with your purchase, instead of having to buy an additional product. I have no use for the standard arm. Otherwise, excellent product and would highly recommend.
You need this for the show side off the rim. The short one only works on the inside.

This was a life saver!! I could not get a good set on the large wheels of the Silverado Z71, so thus extra long arm did the trick perfectly!!
The extended arm clamp is a great addition to the XB-450i Tire Bead Breaker.
Perfect for larger wheels and never have to worry about wheel getting damaged

I have 22” wheels with a rounded surface that the standard clamp arm didn’t fit so well. The extended clamp arm fits perfectly.
A lot sturdier than I thought it might be. An absolute necessity if you're looking to pop a bead on an alloy rim.
